PRINTING PROCESS
Jason’s medium of choice for his fine art is film. Shooting with both 35mm and medium format cameras, all images in the Print Shop are captured on film before being processed and scanned in Australia by Atkins Pro Lab.
Images are printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® using a Epson Stylus Pro 3880 printer. The fine, smooth surface makes this paper ideal for printing both black-and-white and color images. Hahnemühle Photo Rag® is one of the world’s most popular papers and the valued all-rounder for high-quality FineArt inkjet printing. The white cotton artist’s paper, with its characteristic, wonderfully soft feel, boasts a lightly defined felt structure, lending each artwork a three-dimensional appearance and impressive pictorial depth. Combined with the matt premium inkjet coating, this paper produces outstanding prints that feature brilliant colours, deep blacks, striking contrasts and perfect reproduction of detail. This acid- and lignin-free classic meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance and is specially designed for FineArt applications. Whether it is used for FineArt photography or art reproductions, the ideal combination of structure, print quality and weight makes Photo Rag® one of the most versatile FineArt inkjet papers.
As a special highlight, the Photo Rag® 308 is also available with hand-torn deckle edges on all four sides. The result is exclusive prints which truly come into their own in a shadow box frame.
Jason signs every image. Limited edition prints receive a series number and all images receive a Certificate of Authenticity.
If you’ve ordered framing, the image will be custom framed with UV filtering glass or acrylic, acid-free mats, archival acid-free foam core backing and beautiful wooden frame moldings. Each frame arrives gift wrapped in kraft paper with hanging and care instructions.

We offer our signature framing in silky oak hardwood finished frames. All framed images are dry mounted to acid-free backing. Each frame comes with wall bumpers and hanging hardware

Each piece of artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity to protect the integrity of each Jason Vasquez photograph. The Certificate of Authenticity includes an embossed Jason Vasquez seal and detailed information about the piece including its title and the edition number. To maintain the integrity and value of the piece, we encourage you to store the certificate in a safe place, separate from the original piece.
Each image is artfully cultivated, then composed in camera and shot in film – always with extensive preparation and planning. After being processed and scanned in Brisbane, Australia images are carefully curated, professionally printed and hand signed. Lastly, if selected, the artwork is custom framed by hand and thoughtfully wrapped and packaged for transport.
